Aldona Jonaitis is director of the Museum of the North and professor of anthropology at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. An art historian who has published widely on Native American art, she is the author of From the Land of the Totem Poles, Robert Davidson: Eagle of the Dawn and Art of the Northern Tlingit (University of Washington Press, 1986).
