Candace Savage was born and raised in the West. She is the author of numerous internationally acclaimed books, including two books of pop culture, Beauty Queens and Cowgirls, as well as Bird Brains, Aurora and Mother Nature. Her book Cowgirls was chosen as a notable book for young adults by the American Library Association. She lives in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
As brazen and clever as the birds it celebrates, this little book is a treasure trove of information and anecdotes about the wise guys of the avian world: the bright-eyed, black-winged members of the genus Corvus.
