James Glave, father, author and conflicted eco-activist, knows that going green isn�t easy. In fact, he�s written a whole book about his efforts to raise a suburban family while trying to tread lightly on the planet. His main project: building an eco-shed on his Bowen Island property. His main challenge: finances. Creatively, he�s decided to rent out his very green, very beautiful little suite and is billing it as an environmentally friendly weekend getaway. Author Spotlight

On July 31st, Mary Macaree, Greystone author and avid outdoors person, passed away. She, along with her husband David, was the author of the much-loved 109 Walks, which over the years has been continuously expanded and updated. Days before she suffered a stroke, she was at work researching the North Shore trails for the latest edition. To read her full obituary, click here. Mary was a woman with a tremendous spirit. We will miss her.
