In both video and audio clips, David Suzuki talks about the interconnectedness of life and shares the revelation that "we're all fruit flies," he denounces an academic's superior race theory, and he expresses his gratitude toward his father who advised, "Be a good dancer and a good speaker." The Suzuki legacy continues. Like Father, Like Daughter was produced while David Suzuki was on tour sharing stories from The Autobiography in 2006. The documentary includes Severn Cullis Suzuki's famous speech at the UN Conference on the Environment and Development in 1992. Severn addressed the delegation with passion, "My Dad always says you are what you do, not what you say. Well, what you do makes me cry at night. You grownups say you love us. But I challenge you, please, make your actions reflect your words." At the age of 12, Severn's speech made international news and inspired a handshake from Al Gore who said, "That's the best speech that anybody gave at this meeting."
