You need the five S’s—size, strength, speed, skill and spirit. Swedish forward Mats Sundin has all of these qualities. Mats has always been a leader. He was the first European ever to be chosen number one in the National Hockey League Entry Draft. And in 1997 he became the first European to be made captain of the Maple Leafs. But more than anything, when Mats is on the ice, he plays hockey with pure joy. To him, the greatest game in the world is still fun.
