Douglas & McIntyre is the original imprint of the Douglas & McIntyre Publishing Group, led by publisher Scott McIntyre.

Douglas & McIntyre began publishing in the autumn of 1971 as a trade publisher deeply rooted in the culture of Pacific Northwest, but with a mandate to publish internationally.

Douglas & McIntyre publishes around 35 non-fiction books a year while maintaining a small and distinguished literary fiction list. We are the preeminent publisher of art and architecture books in the country with a vital brand in First Nations culture, food and wine, and Canadian culture.
