Greystone sells language and territorial rights to Hodgson's newest book.

Vancouver, BC – November 13, 2007 -- Like author, like book. In Trading in Memories: Travels Through a Scavenger’s Favorite Places, Barbara Hodgson takes her readers on a trip to markets and antique shops from Brussels to Marrakech, Damascus to Portland. And now, with the sale of territorial and language rights, this fine book will travel the world. Greystone Books: A division of Douglas & McIntyre Publishing Group has sold the English-language rights in Australia and New Zealand to Hardie Grant, the German rights (world) to Gerstenberg Buchverlag, and the Spanish rights (world) to Editorial Océano, S.L.

Since its publication in North America, Trading in Memories has garnered starred reviews in The Quill & Quire and Library Journal and Hodgson has been warmly received at festivals and public events. Greystone’s marketing includes an on-line campaign at www.tradinginmemories.com and a contest to win a library of travel books.

Barbara Hodgson is a book designer and writer living in Vancouver, British Columbia. Hodgson is the author of No Place for a Lady, among other highly praised books. The flea market is her primary source of research and inspiration.
