Recording Their Story Wins Top Honour at the BC Historical Federation Awards

Recording Their Story, Judy Thompson's catalogue of work of James Teit with the Tahltan of northern BC has just won the BC Lieutenant Governor’s Medal for Historical Writing, the grand prize of the BC Historical Federation Awards. This incredible biography/art book traces Teit's journey, with the participation of many Tahltan, of assembling a large and important collection of artifacts, photographs, song recordings and myths. Also nominated for this prize was D&M title Tsimshian Treasures. The ceremony for this award, at which Thompson will be presented a medal, takes place on May 10th.
